Class Evaluation

1. What I liked about this class was how we learned about many careers, and what they do , how much money they make. Also how we learned what it's like to be a CTR person and what to do when you're stuck in a situation where if you want to do the wrong thing or the right thing.
2. What I didn't like about this class was how it was the same routine everyday.
3. My recommendations to improve this class is to maybe have more activities and not do the same thing everyday.
4. A highlight for me in this class was becoming a CTR person.
5. Yes I did , I tried my best because my typing did improve from the first day I got here.
6. Yes I do read it when i can , and I do come up with more goals each day.
7. Yes I am because what I learned in this class is that if you do the wrong thing you get yourself into many problems but if you choose the right you won't have no problems at all. 

Honesty

In the film the student realized it’s not good to cheat because people who work hard and study it’s not fair for them that they tried and you’re just going to decide to cheat. It’s better if you don’t lie and don’t cheat when it comes to a test. You might as well tried your best instead of cheating because if you cheat and you get caught , you lie saying you didn’t it can lead to you getting in big trouble and if you get in big trouble your grade might go down for that plus you might face bad consequences you might not be able to get yourself out of , so might as well do the right thing and never lie or cheat.

When you lie one time it becomes a habit of you lying all the time. If you lie all the time people won’t be able to trust you with anything. So it’s better if you don’t lie at all because then people will look at you and they’ll see you as a trustworthy person. Being an honest person makes you look good because let’s say your friend needs to tell you something very personal and they tell you , and you never tell anyone else that makes you look like a good person because you kept your secret and you didn’t lie about not telling anyone. So it’s better not to lie at all because if you don’t lie at all you won’t get yourself into any trouble.

The sting of the scorpion

Patrick kearon chose the wrong when he decided to not wear his shoes. He said his parents told him to wear shoes because they would protect his feet no matter what.But when he got stung by the scorpion he knew he should’ve wear his shoes and he knew he chosed the wrong thing to do. An example of that is let’s say you are in a situation where you know if you do the wrong thing you’ll end up getting caught and end up getting in trouble. If you do the right thing and turn the other cheek then you won’t have to worry about anything.

No matter what situation you are in always do the right.It’s better for you to be a CTR person than to be a CTW person because if you’re a person who is always doing the wrong things people are going to look at you wrong and you might not like it and you could get even into more trouble. But if you are a person who is always doing the right then you won’t get into any trouble and people could depend on you. You’ll probably even be doing good in school because you are always doing the right. If you have friends that do the wrong things sometimes you could probably end up convincing them to do the right things also.

It’s better for you to be alone because you can focus more on what you have to do and you can probably get your school work done. You can always have time with your friends any day but let’s say you have a project do and you want to get it done right away so you can go somewhere with your friends.It’s better for you to finish it by yourself because if you have company around and if it’s not good company then you’ll end up getting distracted and might end up getting in trouble. Another reason why it’s better to be alone is because you can have people who do bad things and you don’t feel right about it, you can just turn the other cheek and do the right thing.

“World war II”

World war II was basically one supposed to be with Europe. The men that were in the army were aged between 21-30. Summer 1941 , Hitler’s army took over Europe,Italy and Japan. By September he took over 1.47 million troops. He was planning on launching his forces heading east. On December 7, 1941 Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese unexpectedly. Many U.S ships were destroyed also 188 aircraft and 2,403 people were killed. After the attack 4 days later Germany and Italy wanted to attack the U.S. About 143 young men had to join the army and fight.

The second attack was called out by Hitler. The U.S did achieve fighting and won.

Challenges teens face today

Teens have a lot of challenges or go through them. This generation is messed up in many ways and more years pass by things are getting worse with social media, kids are being more aggressive with each other. With technology around kids don’t know how to socialize , there’s bullying in school or social media. With that around kids\teens don’t know how to be kind with one another. So that creates a lot of problems and it may make kids go through things like bullying, depression, doing drugs. Some teens that are girls end up getting pregnant and it may lead them into being a drug addict or something. Teens might be getting abused and don’t know how to tell someone and it can lead them to suicide. The challenges I go through today is just being stressed over school. Being a CTR person can help you overcome any challenges you face by staying out of streets, don’t do any drugs or drink, choose your friends wisely and just get your school work done and you’ll be fine.

Physical Fitness

What John meant was being an dynamic and creative person is better than being a person who doesn’t care about their future and does drugs. All the bad things in the world is what causes you not to be that type of person but if you are smart enough and always think about doing the right things then you’ll be fine. Being a creative and kind person can probably go on to someone else you know and it just goes around. If you do the right things you can also pass that on to one of your friends. As you become a dynamic and creative not only you’ll pass it on but you’ll be healthy in a way because you’ve done the right things

Health Sciences Librarian

Duties and responsibilities:What an health science librarian do is they have access to all the medical information that you need. They have books, journals,tapes multimedia presentations and the internet. They help out anyone who needs to find out any scientific or medical information. They work in a variety of places  such as library.

Salary:Average $58,000- $65,000

Education: To become one you have to graduate high school. You have to take classes such as english,math,typing and science. Get a four year bachelor’s degree , it is required. You have to take classes like science and computer science.

Demand for this profession:There is an average amount of them.

Thanksgiving Week

The thanksgiving week was good. What I did was just stay home and I went out couple of times but I just wanted to stay home. I did my health homework and English homework. On thanksgiving I went to my cousins house and it was her parents, my mom , my aunt and my little brother. Me and my cousin were helping out in the kitchen organizing the plates and cups. Then we all sat in the table and ate. I spent the night over my cousins and we were watching scary movies and we didn’t go to sleep until 4 in the morning and when we woke up we made breakfast then I spent the whole day there until I went home. On the last day of the weekend , which was Sunday I went to my grandma’s house and it was like a second thanksgiving.

If you’re the type of person who is always rude to people and never have manners then you’re the type of person people won’t want to be around with because of how you are. But if you’re the type that is kind and has manners you’ll be known as a nice person. For example if you’re at a store or any place with a lot of people and you bump into someone and you say ,”sorry” or “excuse me” then that’s you having manners but let’s say someone bumps into you and you tell them “watch where you’re going” with an attitude that person might think you’re a rude person and might look at you the wrong way. It’s better to be a person with manners than a person with no manners because if you treat people with kindness you might end up getting it back.

He’s saying be smart on what you do and be smart on what you say because if you do the wrong things you pay consequences and if you say the wrong things that aren’t true  you might end up hurting someone and if you’re the type of person to say things that aren’t true and do the wrong things people are going to see you as a mean person and you rather be a person whose wise and do the right things so people can see you as a good person. An example of being a person who does neither and does the right things that the quote says , let’s say you hear something from someone about your friend and you’re not sure if it’s true it’s better to let the person know than rather keeping it from them.

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving all started in 1863 celebrating the army victory at Gettysburg. The official date of thanksgiving is on November 26,1863 as to Abraham Lincoln recalled. It’s usually celebrating the victory that happened and it was on Nov 26. They also had the Native Americans with them because around that time that’s when the Native Americans came around and helped them win the war and they all celebrated thanksgiving together.  Thanksgiving is a day to be thankful for what you got and to be with your family. Thanksgiving is a holiday where you get together with your whole family and have a big feast of food. When on thanksgiving day you spend time with your family and catch up on what’s been going on and just have a great time.

November 11

Veterans day is a holiday celebrated for the end of World War 1 , we celebrate it on November 11 because that’s when we won the war. The purpose of Veterans day is to show our respect to those who fought and to those who lost their lives. The ways you can show honor is

• Fly a flag at your work or house
• Support the military now
• Celebrate at a restaurant
• Have a cook out at your house
• Show or tell other people what Veterans Day is

When I think of Veterans Day I think of all those whose fought and who have lost their lives fighting. It shows how much the military has done just for us to be safe. I do have a lot of respect towards Veterans and it’s something that will be celebrated forever.

What he means is that if you don’t like how you’re doing at school or anything , find something that makes you relaxed. When you do that you can get a fresh start for the day and it’ll lead you to doing good. When you do that it makes you more motivated to do new things and good things. If you’re having a bad day just do what makes you calm and you get a fresh start as there.

What he saying is that it’s better to be a person that does the right things instead of the wrong things because you’ll know for yourself that you’re leading to a good path in life. If your friends are doing the wrong things and you decide to do the right thing you’re doing it for you not for anyone else and you should always put yourself first when it comes between doing the right or wrong.

What he means is that be smart about your choices and don’t sacrifice for something you want to do for what you want the most. Remind yourself of what you want the most and stick to it before you do what you want now. It’s better for you to stick with what you want the most and achieve it before it’s too late and you can’t do anything about it. If you do what you want and don’t pay attention to what you want the most you might never achieve it because you’re too distracted to what you’re doing now and if you never achieve with what you wanted the most you might end up regretting it.

Homecoming

A school homecoming is when everyone gathers together and celebrates , usually schools celebrate it during football season. Schools celebrate it during any sport seasons. The reason why schools have homecoming is because they celebrate the pride of the school. Before homecoming the schools have spirit week and then the following day of homecoming the school’s team of any sports of the season play and they celebrate with a homecoming dance when it’s either a win or lose. What I think of homecoming is it seems interesting.

Mike is saying is that it’s better for you to be a good person do the right choices than being something you’ll know that will have a bad name on you. It’s better for you to follow the right steps in life than to do the wrong things and struggle because you’ve done those wrong things. Doing the wrong things can have you feeling regret but doing the right things can have you going to the right paths in life and have a good name.

Global opportunities: Careers in other countries

In other countries they have different jobs some of them are good and some aren’t.There’s a lot around the world . Some of them don’t even count as a job but they still get paid. People have jobs where they go into little countries trying to help the countries with helping them build more houses or anything to provide them. Some of them can be doctors and help anyone who is sick or hurt.

When you have a lot of things it doesn’t matter what matters is who you actually are as a person because you want to be remembered as something not because of the things you had. Duties and responsibilities:What a health educator does is they help people about behaviors and that promote wellness. They develop strategies to find ways to improve health in individuals and communities.

Education:You must have a bachelor’s degree in health , pass a health education specialist exam

Demand for this profession: Over the years the job growth expanded 21% since 2012

Health Administrator

Duties and responsibilities: What health administrators do is direct the operation of hospitals, health systems and others. They are responsible for facilities,services, and other programs. Some of them help out with people who need services.

Salary:$77,000 basics

Education:To become one you must have a bachelor degree , go online to training and study then get liscend

Demand for this profession: Over the years the amount of them has not expanded it’s been the same amount since 2010.

I think I wouldn’t be one because it’s something that I wouldn’t enjoy having as a job.

Thomas means that if you’re ever in a situation where you don’t know if to do the wrong thing or the right thing , do the right thing because if you make that wrong decision it can change your whole life and you might go off the wrong track and might end up somewhere you’ve never wanted to be. So be the bigger person and do the right thing and you might end up being successful in life.   

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)

Duties and responsibilities: The FBI is an investigative arm of the U.S department of justice. What they do is they focus on stopping terrorism,corruption, organized crime, cyber crime and civil rights violations. They also investigate thefts or murders.

Salary:It depends on what step you are on but the average amount is between $46,229 - $85,544

Education: To become one you have to be the ages between 23-37. The requirements are you need a bachelor level degree. Then go into training.

Demand for this particular career:Over the years the amount of the FBI agents has expanded.

I think I would like to be one because it seems like a job i would enjoy when I’m older.

What she’s saying is if you always choose the right you’ll become a great person. If you’re always the type to do the wrong things and you think about it one day that you’re going to start doing the right things you’ll be a champion because you reached your goal into doing the right things and no one ever tell you , you’ve done wrong because you’ve always been a CTR person.

Duties and responsibilities: What they do is they are responsible for local, state , and federal regulations that pertain to the sanitation of food and water. They usually look for anything bad in food or liquids.

Salary: They usually make $81,750

Demand for this profession:Over the years it has expanded

I wouldn’t like to be one because it’s something I wouldn’t enjoy as an adult.

“Goal setting is goal getting Set and get”

What he means is that if you want to get where you want to go , get yourself in a good place in your life and start to think about what you want to do or be. If you want to really do something you’ll focus on it and you won’t mess around. To get where you want to go you must have goals set and you must be serious about it because everyone wants to be something but they just don’t know how to get there but if you set your goals and do the right things through life then you might end up going on the right track.

Columbus Day

Christopher Columbus was born 1451 in Italy. When he was a teenager that’s when he first went out to sea. He traveled in many places. As he got older him and his men had discovered many new places and land. He went to a land thinking it was part of italy and he discovered all this gold and spices. He promised he’ll bring something back but he never did and people started to die or get really sick. King Ferdinand and sent back to Italy where he spent his last 2 years there before he had past.

Obedience

What james is saying is that when you start having obedience when you start doing the right things you’ll start building a block full of good things you’ve done and most likely you won’t have problems. That block of obedience can lead you to success because by doing the right things most likely you’ll end up somewhere you’ve always wanted to been and things can’t get in the way because you’ll have obedience.

Veterinarians

Duties and responsibilities:What they do is protect the health of animals and people but mostly animals. They diagnose and control animal diseases. They also let the owners what and what not to do while their pets are getting better.

Salary:They earn a median of $88,490

Education:To become a veterinarian you have to graduate high school then go into training for 4 years.

Demand for this profession:It’s expanding over the years as they go by from 8.9%.

I think I’ll like to be one because I don’t like seeing animals hurt.

What Spencer is saying is that if you want to learn how to do something new , if you want to try out new things then go for it. You can't say you want to try something out and you say to yourself that you're no good at it because you have to try it our first in order to know because if you never try it out you never know. This quote is saying to have courage and take new steps everyday of your life becasue one day you might wake up one day and realize you should have done that one thing a long time ago. If you take and do new things everyday you learn new things and you could be happy with that new thing you've always wanted to try out. 

Emergency Medical Technician

Duties and responsibilities:What they do is care for the sick or injured during an emergency. They are trained to help our people fast and to get them to a hospital as soon as possible. Most of the time people’s lives depend on the ETM so they have to know what to do in order for people to survive.

Salary:$15.38 per hour and $31,980 per year

Education:To become one you have to finish high school after go into training for 1 or 2 years then you have to get a degree.

Demand for this profession:I think over the years the amount of ETM has expanded.

I wouldn’t like to be one because it’s not a job for me

"Be what you want to be"

What I mean by this is do what you want do be. Don't let nobody tell you who to become when you are growing up  because if you let someone tell you what to be and what to do you'll never be happy with yourself because you're being someone you're not and you'll never be happy with yourself. If you become the person you want to be then you'll know what makes you happy , life is to short life doesn't wait for anyone so might as well start becoming the person you want to be in life and be happy. Don't let no one tell you what to be because then you'll know who you really are as a person because everyone in life is trying to find out who they really are as they grow up.
